You can get to the island either by air or by sea. The most convenient would be via air as the flight lands directly on the island. We can shuttle you to the resort, which is about 30 minutes from the Airport.
BY AIR You can get to the island through plane via the City of Cebu or Manila.
Currently there are two airlines that fly to the island. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have daily flight schedules from both Manila and Cebu. On certain times of the year they have two flights a day.
The flight from Cebu takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour to arrive in Siargao. While Manila flights take between 1.5 to 2 hours.
Siargao Airport does not have radar, which means that if visibility is low, due to bad weather, or loss of day light the flights will not be able to take off or land.
| BY SEA You may choose to get to the island via Sea. If that is the case, your port of entry would be via Surigao City boat port.
So you can fly to anywhere in Mindanao Mainland and take a bus to Surigao City. From there you can hop on a boat to get to the island.
Many of the boats get easily booked so you have to get there at least one hour before departure time.
If you miss the boats to Dapa, you may get lucky and get another boat to a neighbouring city.
Take note if you are planning on taking this sea route from Manila, you would need to spend a night on Surigao as the last boat to Siargao leaves right as your plane arrives. |
